A Candle in the Heart

Aimed at the young adult market (14+), A Candle in the Heart is the true moving story of an orphaned little girl caught in the dangerous whirlwinds of World War II. She and her remaining siblings rely on the kindness of strangers to protect them from those who would murder them without compunction. Because of these “strangers,” the little girl is able to go on to live a full productive life, as she moves through the post-war period and finally arrives in America to realize her version of the American dream.
